Writing A Personal Statement

This is a sign of the times. I am writing a Personal Statement for my CV. I am going to be searching for jobs. I am moving into a new phase of life.

Here is what I have so far. I wouldn't employ me.

I am passionate, excitable, a little bit naïve and a little bit cynical, with a genuine love for the company of others. I try to smile at strangers, have an unsavory love for running jokes, intentionally mismatch my socks, tan well, work hard, have vowed never to pretend to browse my phone when feeling awkward, do not own an iPod, do not have much of a sweet tooth, do believe in the redeeming power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow, mother, father and I are going to cruise down Falmouth way so that I can put on a stupid gown and a stupid hat and attend some pointless ceremony, after which I will be a graduate living in Bristol seeking work and no longer a student living in Falmouth seeking a rich wife and no longer Gone To Falmouth and so this is the last thing I shall put on this blog, except I shall post one more thing to tell you where to find me on the internet which I will update if I start a new blog so do keep an eye peeled, and thank you for being interested in what goes on in my life and the silly things I have to say and the better things you & I could have been doing and for the banter which happens every now and then in the comment boxes and for helping me survive university and probably contributing in some way to my excellent result, especially those who got involved with my projects, and for understanding or not and having a laugh at my expense or your expense or whatever, and that time I had glittering facial hair, thanks again, goodnight.
